Job Summary
The Videographer/Editor is responsible for operating cameras in the college television studio as well as on location, utilizing video production tools such as cameras, tripods, microphones and lights. The Videographer/Editor is responsible for editing video, editing audio, incorporating graphics and the delivery of different formats to different platforms. The Videographer/Editor takes part in multi-camera studio and remote productions, including operation of cameras, audio mixers, character generators and video switchers. The Videographer/Editor manages their project from pre-production through delivery.
Required Qualifications
High-school diploma
One year of experience in videography and editing
Experience with all aspects of studio and remote production, both setup and operation,
including cameras, tripods, microphones, remote lighting, editing and graphics,
Understanding of basic 3-point lighting for video production
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse college community
environment
Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
Ability to work a flex schedule to accommodate evening and weekend productions, including last-minute requests
Ability to work independently with minimum guidance
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree
Three years of professional video production experience
Knowledge of Adobe Audition
Experience with color grading
Experience using a control room switcher and audio board
Experience with waveform/vectorscopes nd multiple types of camera control units
Experience with a wide variety of video formats, including broadcast, social and digital media
