The NAGPRA Coordinator is a position funded by the National Park
Service. Responsibilities are
1. Maintain external NAGPRA catalog and indigenous North America
2. Manage repatriation consultation letters and calls.
3. Identify, catalog, and rehouse NAGPRA related artifacts in the

Training in national standards on collections care. Bachelors’
degree in anthropology or history. Masters’ preferred in
anthropology, museums, or public history.
Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing,

Two years experience in collections management and registration
required, In a University setting preferred.
Two years experience with formal registration procedures and
One year experience supervising undergraduate students.
Three years experience and/or training in public and private
sector, experience with ethnographic or archaeological collections,
and knowledge of indigenous North American cultures and
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal
