The University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks an innovative and collaborative leader for its next Assistant Vice Chancellor for Digital Learning and Director of Academic Technology.  The AVC serves as the chief academic technology officer for the UNO campus:  a visionary, leader, director, planner, facilitator, innovator, collaborator, catalyst, and advocate in coordinating all applications of instructional technology in meeting the UNO’s academic goals.  A natural coalition-builder, the AVC utilizes fluency with the academic culture and pedagogical formation to guide their approach.  The AVC connects across campuses to partner with faculty and key academic units to develop compelling programs and initiatives that support and drive innovation through academic technology.  The position works closely with Office of Academic Affairs, the Information Technology Services team, and the academic colleges to create solutions that empower teaching and learning and support the success of UNO faculty and students.  With a recent tripling of online programs at UNO, credit hour production approaching 50% of the total, an intentional service for the adult learner population, and innovative programs such as Career Currency, UNO’s online portfolio is an essential component of its enrollment strategy. As AVC of Digital Learning at UNO, the position partners closely with academic leadership on campus to advance the strategic growth and development of online/hybrid programs, courses, open educational resources, enrollment, initiatives, and innovative classrooms, in addition to leading and managing the campus-specific academic technology functions/staff.  This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2022.
