Position Summary:
Job Summary The Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance reports to the Director of Athletics. The primary task is to assist the Director of Athletics in the overall organization and administration of the intercollegiate athletics program, club sports and recreation in concert with the mission of the University. Major Responsibilities
  • Serve as the NCAA compliance officer
  • Provide oversight of game management and event operations, equipment room, sports medicine, club sports and recreation
  • Supervise & assess designated sport programs
  • Serve as the Athletic Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID), if appropriate
  • Manage all day-to-day operations in accordance with the director of athletics Specific Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for an atmosphere of professionalism and respect among coaches, staff and student-athletes.
  • Promote a competitive athletic atmosphere consistent with the NCAA DIII philosophy.
  • Ensure that all department members have full knowledge of and abide by the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA and the conference.
  • Serve as the department's liaison to the Center for Academic Achievement and Events Management
  • Assist in Admissions events on behalf of the department
  • Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets
  • Serve on University, conference and NCAA committees, as appropriate.
  • Assist in identifying and nominating student-athletes for external programs and internship opportunities
  • Serve in areas of importance for the Department as directed by the Director of Athletics
  • Represent the university to various constituents in a professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:
    Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent speaking and writing skills necessary, as well as the ability to be a well-organized self-starter; Knowledge of English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar; Ability to set priorities and advocate team concepts; work corroboratively with faculty and staff. EducationMaster’s degree required. ExperienceThree years of experience in athletics administration at the college level is required. Must be familiar with NCAA regulations and have a demonstrated commitment to the student-athlete experience. Physical DemandPosition requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Position requires the ability to move about the campus. Position requires the ability to talk and to hear instruction. Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach. Position requires occasional stooping, crouching and bending. Position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Working conditions are indoor. Evening and weekend obligations will be required.
