Lecturer- CHEM 275 -Quantitative Investigations in Chemistry

 

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2021 to teach CHEM 275:  Quantitative Investigations in Chemistry lecture.  The lecture course will meet face-to-face at the San Marcos campus on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m.

 

The Department’s curriculum combines laboratory-rich experiences with traditional and innovative classroom pedagogy to engage students in chemical inquiry and critical thinking, hands-on experiences with chemical principles, and modern instrumental methods.  Students completing our program are well educated in the practice and knowledge of science and are prepared to be productive members of society.  The Department offers ACS-certified B.S. degrees in both Chemistry and Biochemistry, and a B.S. degree in Chemistry with a Science Education option.

Minimum qualifications:

  • D. in chemistry and experience in teaching quantitative/analytical chemistry at the college-level.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • D. or equivalent in analytical chemistry, and experience teaching quantitative/analytical chemistry at the college-level.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching (this language must be included in the preferred qualifications).
