    Department Summary
    The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 250 administrative & classified employees, hosts over 600,000 spectators annually, and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.

    Position Summary
    The Food Service Coordinator will assist in the supervision and oversight of all bar areas, the front of house at catering events, the Founder's Club, and student and part-time staff. This position will lead concession areas as needed and assist with food preparations.

    Additional requirements of this position:
  • Possess or be able to obtain Food Handlers card
  • Valid Driver's License with ability to obtain and maintain a University of Oregon Driver's Certification
  • Ability to obtain OLCC service permit

    Minimum Requirements
  • Two years of experience in a large-scale commercial, hospital, or institutional food service operation with responsibility for maintaining required production levels, preparing simple foods for volume dining, and providing knowledge of the materials and equipment used in a volume dining/food service facility.

  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and equity, including an ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Micro POS system and Tangent inventory control system
  • ServSafe certified
  • Five years of experience supervising a full-service liquor bar
  • Five years of experience bartending
  • Three years of concession food service experience
  • Three years of catering or banquet experience
