Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business Advancement Team encourages applications for a Program Manager for Donor Relations! This role is part of a professional and robust advancement team that generates philanthropic support and overall external engagement for the University and the Leeds School.

You will play a role in establishing a deep-rooted culture of philanthropy across the University and among the Leeds alumni and community.

Our team thrives on the energy, passion and school pride that comes from daily interactions with students at Leeds and across campus. On a typical day, you can expect to participate in meetings with colleagues from a variety of teams – perhaps Undergraduate or Graduate Programs, the Office of Diversity Affairs, and members of the faculty. You’ll attend events ranging from board meetings to football pregame celebrations, representing Leeds and forming relationships. In the office, you’ll find supportive partners for learning about student programs, building personalized stewardship, leading donor relations programming, and learning more about standard methodologies around advancement.

This person leads planning and executing personalized and broad stewardship efforts for donors to the Leeds School. Working under minimal supervision, this person will tackle a broad array of critical projects and tasks, and may provide functional guidance to interns and student workers. Duties and tasks reflect variety and complexity, and require either the direct or indirect supervision of assigned programs and projects.

Responsibilities include planning, logistics and coordination for one or more of the following: donor relations, stewardship strategies, events, marketing, annual giving. Position will assist with the development and management of program budgets. Depending on position focus, additional responsibilities may include the effective management of the college’s gift acknowledgment process, stewardship partnership programs, marketing/branding strategy, and coordination of communications efforts.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

This role assists in all aspects of donor relations - programs, projects and event planning. Coordinates the program and directs the activities of the staff and volunteers assigned to the project. Position acts as liaison to University and Foundation contacts, alumni clubs, volunteers, and others as related to assigned programs and projects. Position follows guidelines regarding budgeting, anticipated revenue and expenses associated with subject program. Position reviews “budget-to-actual” status on a monthly basis and addresses any significant concerns. Position reviews effectiveness of program and makes suggestions for modification and improvement. Position may create, revise and implement a marketing plan to enhance communication related to program. Position leads the effort to create materials necessary to market the subject program to the appropriate target audience. Position utilizes appropriate databases for tracking program participants and prospective participants. Position assumes special projects as requested by senior management.

Position establishes and enhances interpersonal relationships and coordinates and manages volunteers and third party relationships.

What We Can Offer

The salary range is $53,000- $60,000 annually.

Relocation is available for those who qualify.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience planning and coordinating relevant projects
