College Lake County is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach
courses in Automotive Collision Repair in the Automotive Collision
Repair Department. The successful candidate will teach courses
during day and afternoon hours primarily with some evening courses
The Automotive Collision Repair ( ACR ) Program at the College of
Lake County is designed to prepare students for entry into one or
more of the many service branches of automotive collision repair
and maintenance fields.
The ACR program incorporates I-CAR’s professional development
program ( PDP ) training curriculum and the National Automotive
technicians Education Foundation ( NATEF ) programs

Minimum of 5-year collision repair or related field work
experience, AND a current ASE -Collision, or I- CAR
Associate of Applied Science in Auto Collision Repair (or related

Several classes are available. We are currently looking for
instructors who can teach during the day (hours vary between 8am –
2pm) and/or afternoons (2pm-6:00pm).
Some evening classes may be available.

Summary of Essential Functions
Teach courses in subject field. Develop instructional materials.
Assess student learning and assign grades. Attend required Adjunct
meetings in the Fall and Spring semesters. Participate in college
governance and other aspects of academic life. Maintain current
knowledge of subject matter.
Faculty members are expected to maintain current in compliance
training, including compliance under Title IX “Responsible

Teach courses as scheduled each academic semester.
Provide instructional support to the students. Refer students, when

Encourage students to submit course evaluations, review course
evaluations when available and use feedback to improve course

Participate, when appropriate, in the formation and meetings of
program advisory boards, college, division, and department
