This is a 40 hour per week, salaried/exempt position. Manages all activities related to box office and front of house operations, production support, and special event planning for theatrical spaces and events. Ensures superior customer service at all points of patron contact. Leads the box office staff by example, demonstrating a well-developed sales mindset that drives ticket sales and donations, and coaches box office staff to develop the same.
1. Manages all ticketing operations, including event management in the Spektrix ticketing system, group sales, donor and sponsor benefit fulfillment, and special ticket request fulfillment; generation of reports and lists; manages special registrations through Zoom and other web-based services as needed.2. Serves as primary Front-of-House manager; oversees Box Office and volunteer staff of 30-60 during events; makes operational decisions during events regarding the safety, security, and satisfaction of 1500+ patrons; serves as Back-of-House manager and performs artist services duties as needed.3. Front line supervisor of Mendel Center Operations Box Office staff; hires, provides training, schedules, and supports staff; serves as first point of escalation for patron requests and concerns; manages payroll for Box Office staff.4. Recruits and trains the 100+ member Mainstage volunteer corps; manages and schedules volunteers for events and projects; serves as a volunteer database administrator.5. Webmaster of The Mendel Center website; manages, updates, and ensures the functionality and accessibility of the site; maintains Mendel Center’s SharePoint sub-site.6. Establishes and implements policies and procedures that support high levels of patron service and operational efficiency.7. Creates and distributes weekly, monthly, and other periodic reports on business and accounting system compliance, website statistics, ticket sales, and other revenue-generating activities.8. Tracks and maintains inventory of concessions and box office supplies.

Under the general supervision of the Director, the Patron Services Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and support to patrons, donors, clients, visiting artists, and sponsors. Through the oversight of the Box Office and participation in venue rentals, fundraising, group sales, and advertising sales, the Patron Services Manager supports revenue generation for Mainstage Operations.
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. One to three years of experience in event management, performing arts management, or group sales/fundraising experience. Requires strong customer services skills, attention to detail, written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Work is fast paced, with a multiplicity of details and requires a flexible daily and weekly schedule. Must be available to work variable schedule, including extended work days, evenings, and weekends.
