Position Summary:
The Assistant Dean of Admissions is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to market, recruit, and select students for the University of Idaho College of Law. As a member of the Dean's senior leadership team, the Assistant Dean will provide administrative management and coordination for all admissions functions from recruitment to matriculation, including oversight of the scholarship program. The Assistant Dean is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the admissions office, including the supervision of admissions staff, working closely with the Faculty Admissions Committee to set and achieve enrollment goals, planning recruitment events, development and implementation of a unified strategy to maximize the breadth and quality of the applicant pool, resulting in the matriculation of the most talented and diverse applicant pool possible.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience supervising or managing staff and students involved with law admissions, recruitment, and enrollment management using ACES2 or Unite.
- Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email software and centralized computer information systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with and communicating with culturally diverse populations and a wide range of constituencies.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 40 lb boxes.
- Ability to travel within the region regularly throughout the year.
- Must be able to work irregular hours
