Job Summary:
Responsible for the leadership, direction, supervision, and evaluation of new and returning (stop-out) student recruitment and admissions operations. Provides support to the Director, Early Middle College Partnerships with the coordination of all Early college programs, the One-Stop Student Services Center and meeting individual and institutional goals related to the college's strategic enrollment management plan. The Director, Admissions & Recruitment will assist the Vice President, Student Affairs to strengthen ties with school districts in the College's service area.

Essential Functions:
1. Develops and implements systematic, student-centered annual new student recruitment plan of action to meet qualitative and quantitative enrollment goals. Identifies, analyzes, and responds to market trends to adjust, renew or change strategy and assessment procedures.2. Establishes and maintains high school and community networks including off campus visits. 3. Assists the Director, Early Middle College Partnerships with the coordination of dual enrollment, dual credit, and early/middle college operations working collaboratively with K-12 administration and academic and student services to ensure systems and processes are in place to deliver quality instruction and support to our early college students.4. Strengthens relationships and collaborative partnerships with area K-12 school districts. 5. Assists with the oversight of recruitment and admissions initiatives for recent high school graduates, traditional students, non-traditional students, and returning students working collaboratively with Student Services and Marketing Communications.6. Assists with the projection of new student enrollment targets including those needed for all phases of the enrollment funnel both comprehensive and by program.7. Develops and implements a comprehensive recruitment plan including lead generation, conversion and yield; and works in cooperation with the Student Services and the College’s Marking department in planning student recruitment marketing initiatives.8. In partnership with the Registrar, shares responsibility for the oversight of the One-Stop Student Services Center.9. In consultation with Advising Services, develops; implements; coordinates; monitors; and evaluates the Guided Pathway system to support all persistence, retention, and completion initiatives.10. Participates directly in recruitment activities including travel, public presentations, reviewing applications, responding to correspondence, etc., in order to introduce prospective students to the college and its programs.11. Generates, prepares and provides a variety of reports and data concerning admissions, recruitment and general office management.12. Researches and updates admission practices, policies, and technology as needed.13. Remains up-to-date on best practices in the field of admissions/enrollment management field.14. Collaborates with other Student Services departments to carry out the philosophy of a student-centered institution within an integrated enrollment services environment.

Other Duties:

Maintains sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds. 3. Plays a key role in the management of technology-based initiatives and the digital guided pathways tool to improve recruitment and marketing strategies for enrollment. Implements strategically planned adjustments in resources, workflow, and staffing so department resources are proficiently utilized to meet the enrollment goals and service current students. 4. Works closely with the Marketing Department to develop and produce marketing campaigns, including social media and other advertising materials, to support the recruitment process (i.e. materials for inquiries, applicants, and admits) and other campus events.5. Responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with high school personnel, county and regional community agencies, organizations and businesses and for preparing and executing the annual Recruitment Plan.6. Aligns the Enrollment Services priorities with the College’s Strategic Plan.7. Plans and supervises recruitment operations including market/target analysis, prospect development, high school/community college outreach, recruitment events, and campus visit programs.8. Manages all published information regarding admissions requirements and policies.9. Collaborates with faculty to develop and monitor compliance to departmental admission criteria.10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Student Affairs.

Under the general supervision of the Vice President, Student Affairs, the Director of Admissions & Recruitment is accountable for coordinating and leading the College’s new student recruitment efforts and assisting with all aspects of Early College programs. Works collaboratively with all areas of the institution and community.

Job Specifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Student Development, Educational Administration, Enrollment Management or other related fields preferred. Five or more years of administrative experience, recruitment, and/or student services related experience required; student services and/or community college experience preferred. Experience in managing budgets, supervision of personnel, and interpersonal skills required. Leadership experience in a culturally diverse environment preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing enrollment management models and plans preferred. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, communication, supervisory, and presentation skills.
