Job Summary
Simmons University is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the Student Experience team. This position will dually report to the Director of the Center for Leadership and Engagement and the Multicultural Center with a dotted line to the Executive Assistant for the Vice President for Student Affairs. The Administrative assistant will serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, faculty, and visitors seeking to engage with the office. From scheduling appointments, reconciling purchase orders, assistant with room and program scheduling, making updates to presence and the calendar, and managing day to day operations for the student experience units, the Administrative Assistant will play a critical role in supporting students at Simmons.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to telephone, walk-in, and email inquiries and requests
for support, assessing and referring urgent calls and situations to
appropriate staff;
- Schedule student appointments;
- Provide general information to parents, faculty, and staff
about our services as well as the limits of
confidentiality;
- Facilitate communication between other offices on
campus;
- Assist with daily administration of the office including
ordering supplies, and maintaining delegated email
accounts;
- Manage general office communication;
- Provide administrative and programmatic support to
staff;
- Manage scheduling of spaces in the Center for Leadership and
Engagement;
- Other responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional
experience;
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional
experience;
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and
interpersonal;
- Proven ability to work with a diverse array of individuals
while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
