The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking to hire two outstanding pediatric clinical and research Neurologists to join the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children’s Hospital.  This is a full-time 12-month service period (July 1 – June 30) appointment, at the Assistant Professor rank without tenure (WOT), by reason of clinical and research funding in the clinician-scientist academic pathway. Both positions will provide general care in pediatric neurology in the outpatient services clinics and will attend on inpatient service at Seattle Children's Hospital. Both positions are expected to have secured grant funding for research projects. Both roles will supervise and work with pediatric neurology and other residents while evaluating and caring for patients hospitalized or in the emergency department at Seattle Children's Hospital. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

The anticipated start date of these appointments is Jan 1, 2022.

 

 

Qualifications

Candidates must hold an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Washington, and be either board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Neurology or by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
