Dean College is perfectly situated in Franklin, Massachusetts, which is conveniently located between Boston and Providence, Rhode Island and is accessible to Boston by commuter rail. The Dean College/Franklin station is only a five-minute walk from campus. Approximately 90 percent of the College's student population lives on campus.

Responsible for overseeing and facilitating the full intramural program, fitness/wellness curriculum, management of the Kokes Fitness Center as well as other student directed activities. Additional responsibilities include supporting, collaborating, and serving as a liaison with other institutional programs such as New Student Orientation, Homecoming, Welcome Week, and other large scale office programs.
Campus Recreation Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Provide support for all programming initiatives sponsored by the Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development;
- Development and implementation of a diverse intramural schedule, inclusive of a fitness and wellness programming calendar to meet the needs of the student population;
- Advise and work with the Outdoor Recreation & Adventure Club (ORAC);
- Advise and work with the E-Sports Club. Assisting them in both external events, and internal campus programming;
- Liaison with the Health and Counseling Offices to deliver and develop wellness programs to the community;
- Manage the upkeep, monitoring, and maintenance of the Boomer's Game room;
- Coordinate the GOutdoors off-campus recreational trip program;
- Oversee the daily functions of the Kokes Fitness Center;
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule and evaluate staff of work-study students for the Kokes Fitness Center, intramurals, and the Boomer mascot;
- Responsible for the negotiation, budgeting and contracting of all recreation/intramural programs and other office initiatives as assigned;
- Create marketing materials for all Campus Recreation offerings;
- Sit on College Committees as assigned;
- Some physical activity, including but not limited to event set up and breakdown and campus rounds;
- Some nights and weekends;
- Other duties as assigned.
Resident Director Responsibilities:
- Live-in and supervise a residence hall;
- Supervise in-hall Community Advisor (CA) staff;
- Assist with building operations and housing placements;
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with CA Staff, building, floors, and individuals;
- Foster community development within the residential area;
- Serve as a member of the RD duty rotation;
- Other duties as assigned.
Managerial and Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise professional, paraprofessional and support staff, Community Advisor staff, Student interns and /or Work-study students.
- Bachelor's Degree, required;
- Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel/Counseling, Athletic Administration, or related field, preferred;
- 1-3 years' full-time experience in programming or recreational environment, required;
- Skilled in financial planning, program planning and facilitation, required;
- Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills along with honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintaining high professional standards, required;
- Strong attention to detail, required;
- Ability to multitask, required;
- Ability to work independently, in cooperation with staff and faculty, and a diverse student population, required;
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.), required;
- Proficiency with Ellucian Colleague, preferred;
- COVID-19 Vaccination, required.

The Dean College Athletics Department is a Division III member of the NCAA and competes as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), and complies with all NCAA Division III Rules and Regulations.
