Entry level cold food prep position supporting Production Assistants I & II and Cold Food Production Supervisor. Performs functions in support of cold food preparation and set up, customer food service, and front and back of the house sanitation.
Bowdoin College is located in Brunswick, Maine with a student population of almost 2000. We make everything from scratch and consistently rated in the top 10 for college dining! We have our own butcher shop, bakeshop and organic garden that all supply food to our 2 dining halls and 3 retail locations. Education/Skills Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
A valid Driver’s License preferred and the ability to meet the eligibility requirements of the College’s current Motor Vehicle Use Policy. Other Experience Requirements: One year’s experience in kitchen production preferred with some food production background helpful. Will train the ideal candidate. Standard Work Days and Hours
Varying shifts including some overtime, weekends, holidays and during weather emergencies. Required to work for major college events and weekends such as Parents Weekend, Homecoming, Commencement and Reunions. About Bowdoin
