Position Summary:

The Undergraduate Admissions Administrative Support position is a multi-functional position in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, Division of Enrollment Management. It provides administrative support and functions both independently and collaboratively.

This position requires excellent organizational and communications skills. Experience with Excel and SIS (Student Information System) preferred. The incumbent is expected to exercise significant amounts of independent initiative and judgment, as well as a strong administrative, problem solving and analytic ability.

Familiarity with international and domestic educational documents a plus.

This position will be used to fill multiple vacancies.

1. Knowledge and understanding of the use of personal computer software (Word, Excel, Access).
2. Knowledge and understanding of internet applications and e-mail system.
3. Knowledge of SIS (Student Information System).
4. Knowledge of scanning systems (ImageNow).
5. Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to meet and deal effectively with people and maintain an effective working relationship with staff and public.
8. Strong administrative, problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Ability to work with diverse populations.
10. Ability to work independently exercising judgment, taking initiative and seeking improvements and solutions to problems.
11. Excellent keyboard skills with high percentage of accuracy.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility. This position is 50% to 75% time, with a maximum of 29 hours/week. The Administrative Support position is expected to begin in September and end in late February. The actual start date will be determined at the time of hire. Actual end date will be determined by the supervisor and may extend through June 2022. This is a Madison based position with the option to be remote.

Terminal, 9 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $15.25 HOURLY
