Vacancy Number: S-00768 Position Title: Material Handler Classification Title: Material Handler Department: Campus Services Employment Type: Full-Time Duties and Responsibilities:
Load, unload, and transport materials (e.g., office furniture, file cabinets, exhibit cases, purchased supplies).
Operate and maintain trucks and assigned equipment used for moving.
Arrange and set up rooms for functions.
Maintain security of goods and equipment during moving operations.
Perform custodial duties as assigned (e.g., mopping, sweeping and scrubbing floors; cleaning, dusting and waxing furniture; etc.).
Work with internal and external customers.
Complete work orders in a timely manner.
Assist Campus Services Coordinator and Manager in other areas as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of safe and proper procedures for lifting and carrying large items
Knowledge of maintenance terminology and parts specifications
Ability to lift and carry large items
Ability to perform basic custodial duties and operate and maintain custodial equipment
Ability to operate and maintain trucks
Ability to read room diagrams and directions
Ability to write legibly and complete forms
Ability to work on weekends and evenings as deemed necessary Minimum Qualifications:
