The Theatre Program in the Department of Human Communication and Theatre invites applications for a full-time, one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal, senior lecturer Technical Director/Lighting Designer, beginning fall semester, 2021. We seek a colleague with an ability to collaborate with a production team, the desire to design and implement a variety of theatrical styles, and a commitment to instruction and production in an undergraduate liberal arts and sciences context. The successful candidate will provide technical direction and design lighting for two main stage shows per semester, supervise the scene studio, and teach two undergraduate classes per year (3-4 contact hours per semester). Courses taught will include Introduction to Production Techniques and courses within an area of interest that complement the curriculum and current faculty emphasis. 

Candidates must hold an M.F.A. degree in Production Techniques and Lighting Design by time of appointment. Evidence of professional experience is strongly favored. Teaching experience at the university level is strongly desirable.
