Appointment The positions we expect to fill are contingent upon enrollment growth and availability of funds. Position Description / Responsibilities Seeking lecturer faculty for UNIV courses which focus on the university mission, critical thinking, undergraduate research and other "high impact practices," and student success strategies. Some UNIV courses (UNIV 150, 250, and 349) involve collaboration with embedded peer mentors. Some UNIV courses are linked to learning communities. UNIV 250 involves collaboration with the Center for Community Engagement and the Career Center. UNIV faculty will assess General Education student learning outcomes each semester. SPIRaL courses (UNIV 198, 298, 398) are assigned and funded through an RFP process. Minimum Degree Requirements A Master's degree from an accredited institution. Required Qualifications A Master's degree from an accredited institution.

Two years of successful teaching experience at the college level.

We are seeking candidates who have a strong commitment to the university mission, undergraduate teaching and academic excellence. A willingness to participate in a student-centered learning environment is essential. Experience working with faculty and students in learning communities is a plus.

As a condition of employment, this position will require a background check. The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or ABD preferred.
