Appointment The positions we expect to fill are contingent upon enrollment growth and availability of funds. Position Description / Responsibilities The Performing Arts Program at CI invites qualified applicants for the Spring 2021 semester to teach Teaching Drama to Children, an online, hybrid synchronous/asynchronous course for Performing Arts Theater majors Liberal Studies majors and non-majors. Additional opportunities to teach other lecture/discussion courses in the future are dependent on qualifications and enrollment growth. Minimum Degree Requirements An M.A. from an accredited institution in Performing Arts/Theater/Drama Education or a related field. Required Qualifications Experience in culturally-responsive, anti-racist pedagogies.

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications M.F.A., Ph.D., or other terminal degree, or ABD in Performing Arts/ Theater/Drama Education or closely related field, professional experience, and experience in teaching performance techniques and traditions of one or more minoritized cultures.
