The CI Performing Arts Program faculty and staff stand in
solidarity with our Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian American and
Pacific Islander students, our LGBTQIA students, our neurodivergent
students, our Deaf students, our students with disabilities, and
our students who are first in their families to attend college. We
commit ourselves to creating a space where these students are
empowered to fulfill their artistic and educational goals. To do

these students have been systematically excluded from--and too

institutions, including our institutions of higher education. We
also recognize that there is always more work to be done and
therefore further commit ourselves to dismantling racist,
(hetero)sexist, ableist, and other marginalizing structures; to
re-examining and re-envisioning our courses, curricula, grading
