Appointment The positions we expect to fill are contingent upon enrollment growth and availability of funds. Position Description / Responsibilities The Performing Arts Program at CI invites qualified applicants to teach the following: Modern and Jazz Dance, with additional opportunities to teach Contemporary Techniques, Composition and Improvisation, Dance in History, and Dance Ensemble. The position begins August, 2016. Minimum Degree Requirements A Master's of Fine Art Degree (M.F.A.) from an accredited institution. Required Qualifications An M.F.A. degree from an accredited institution in Performing Arts/Dance or closely related field. The instructor appointed to this position will have experience at a University level performing arts program that emphasizes dance. Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will have a record of teaching in multiple dance genres demonstrating versatility in communicating effectively introductory to advanced concepts, engage kinesthetic and somatic based theories with historical movement context, and experience performing and/or creating movement in educational and professional spheres.
