Position Description / Responsibilities The Performing Arts Program at CI invites qualified applicants for a lecturer faculty position beginning August, 2016.

The instructor appointed to this position will teach music fundamentals, music appreciation and private lessons in piano. The successful candidate will have University teaching experience. Minimum Degree Requirements MA degree or higher in Music from an accredited institution Required Qualifications University and/or College teaching experience, Professional music experience; demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching, experience in private lessons (piano preferred); ability to teach music fundamentals, music appreciation, theory, and music history; knowledge of classical and popular musical styles and training and teaching experience in composition and arranging. Preferred Qualifications DMA or other terminal degree in music from an accredited institution and significant professional music and teaching experience. The preferred candidate will be a creative, hands-on, practicing musician, who is active in the field. The candidate should work collaboratively with other faculty, staff, and students.
