Supervision Courses:
SPED 586: Initial Student Teaching
SPED 592: Advanced Student Teaching Minimum Degree Requirements A Masters degree from an accredited institution in Special Education, Education, or a related field. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience working with students with mild/moderate disabilities in diverse school settings
Appropriate academic preparation for specific course content
Evidence of knowledge and use of research-based practices to teach in the appropriate field or content area
High quality teaching and commitment to student success
Experience in administering curriculum-based assessments
As a condition of employment, this position will require a background check. The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching students with moderate/severe disabilities
Doctoral degree from, or doctoral course work in an accredited institution
Evidence of effective teaching with university students
