Appointment The positions we expect to fill are contingent upon enrollment growth and availability of funds. Position Description / Responsibilities Multiple Subject Field Supervisors will supervise participant-observers and student teachers in elementary settings in local schools. Responsibilities include regular (weekly) classroom visits and evaluations of the teacher candidates as well as communicating with cooperating teachers, School of Education Associate Dean and Chair of Credential Programs.

Supervision course assignments include:
EDMS 586 Initial Student Teaching Multiple Subject
EDMS 592 Advanced Student Teaching Multiple Subject Minimum Degree Requirements Masters from an accredited institution in Education or a related field. Required Qualifications Minimum of three years of full time teaching experience in culturally and linguistically diverse public school settings.

Elementary K-6 grade level teaching experience using Common Core State Standards and/or Next Generation Science Standards.

Appropriate academic preparation for specific content area.

High quality teaching and commitment to student success.

As a condition of employment, this position will require a background check. The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications Five or more years teaching experience in culturally and linguistically diverse school settings.

Doctoral degree in Education or a related field from an accredited institution.

Evidence of effective mentoring with university students.

Evidence of knowledge and use of research-based practices for teaching in the appropriate field or content area.

Experience with Teacher Performance Assessment.
