The Department of Physical Therapy in the School of Health & Human Sciences at Indiana University in Indianapolis invites applications for a 10-month tenure-track faculty position. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing an active research agenda, teaching in their area of expertise within an entry-level DPT program, and professional and university service.  Faculty rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials. The position is a 10-month appointment with research start-up funds available.

Required Credentials:

  • Academic doctorate degree (DPT, PhD, EdD, ScD); PhD preferred
  • Licensure as a physical therapist, or eligibility for a physical therapy license in the state of Indiana
  • A record of success in research, teaching, and service in the applicant’s area of expertise

Additional Preferred Experiences:

  • Post-doctoral research training
  • Clinical specialization
  • Demonstrated evidence of success in research through peer-reviewed publications and presentations and grants
  • Developed programmatic line of research aligned with or complementary to the School of Health and Human Sciences
  • Demonstrated potential to secure independent external funding with collaborative research experience in the health sciences and related fields.

The Department of Physical Therapy is part of a dynamic academic and research community that includes eight departments in the School of Health and Human Sciences (SHHS), 15 research labs and institutes, and over 400 clinical and community partnerships.
