Assistant Professor, Operations Management and Analytics

UH Hilo, College of Business & Economics (CoBE), positioon number 86367, general funds, full-time, nine-month, tenure track appointment to begin August 2022, pending position clearance and availability of funding.

Duties: Teach introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in Statistics, Operations Management, and related subjects as assigned.  Sustain scholarly activity appropriate to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status.  Publish in business-related areas.  Mentor CoBE students; engage in other community and University service.  Maintain a minimum of five office hours per week.  Prepare course schedule, syllabus, and reports related to teaching and student progress.  Work under the supervision of the college dean or designate.  Possible evening, weekend, distance learning, and off-campus assignments.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree at the time of appointment from an AACSB-accredited university in a statistics-oriented field such as Operations Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, or related.  Evidence of ability to maintain scholarly productivity to AACSB Scholarly Academic standards.  Evidence of effective teaching in a multicultural setting.  Ability to teach Statistics and Operations Management

Desirable Qualifications: Evidence of effective teaching at the college undergraduate level in Statistics and Operations Management

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
