Hours: 40 hours/week (1.0 FTE); 20 semester credit teaching load

Flexible Start Date: On or after August 1, 2021

Position Summary: Western Seminary invites applications for a faculty position beginning on or after August 1, 2021. The position will be in the CACREP accredited Master of Arts in Counseling degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Responsibilities: Position involves teaching graduate level counseling courses, advising students, clinical supervision, commitment to student mentoring, advocacy, and scholarly activities.


Education: CACREP accredited Ph.D. in Counselor Education (by September) with advanced study in biblical studies, theology, and/or ministry experience.

Experience: Demonstrated teaching experience or potential, clinical supervision experience, eligibility as a state licensed counselor, and substantive clinical experience.

Character:  Candidates must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature and growing Christian faith, be in agreement with Western Seminary’s Faculty Teaching Position, be committed to the integration of biblical principles in instruction, and be willing to invest themselves in the development of students and staff from a perspective of grace, love, and truth.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Faculty members also work in our on-site community counseling center and receive additional remuneration.
