The School of Graduate Studies at Messiah University is currently accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Dean of Enrollment for Graduate Studies and Adult Education.

Responsibilities: The assistant dean is responsible for strategic leadership and operational management of graduate and adult program enrollment efforts. In partnership with others, this position develops marketing, recruitment, and admission forecasting of enrollment for graduate and adult programs. The assistant dean oversees and manages the enrollment team and works closely with program directors, ensuring enrollment goals are met.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in admissions, enrollment, retention, or student services. Experience coordinating efforts and collaborating across multiple departments including face to face, hybrid, and online. Preference will be given to someone with at least 5 years of experience working in admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management in a post-secondary setting or marketing experience; an established track record of meeting enrollment targets; and experience managing a CRM and online management providers.

Skills and Characteristics: Professional-level communication skills and the ability to communicate successfully with various constituencies, including external contacts; well-developed marketing skills, including the ability to develop and refine marketing strategies to fit specific programs; a strong understanding of how to leverage social media, the web, and internet marketing to enhance enrollment; strong project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities; management style that encourages collaboration and teamwork; knowledge of the best practices in graduate and adult student enrollment; working knowledge of graduate financial aid practices; expert computer proficiency; exceptional administrative and team building skills; outstanding written and oral communication skills; evidence of entrepreneurial strength, strategic thinking, innovative attitude, strong business acumen, fiscal accountability, and willingness to experiment; ability to function independently on complex issues; committed to demonstrating the importance and intricacies related to diversity as it relates to graduate enrollment and higher education as a whole; understanding of compliance and regulations related to higher education, the graduate admissions process and the graduate enrollment process; established track record of conceiving, developing, and implementing innovative, high quality, and financially successful strategic enrollment plans (on ground, online, hybrid) for adult learners.
