Principal Research Associate (Evaluation)

The Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University invites applications for a Principal Research Associate. Position requirements include a Ph.D. or terminal degree and at least five years of relevant experience with program evaluation or applied research projects. The main roles of the Principal Research Associate will be to

1. Lead the design and implementation of evaluation projects for external clients and WMU collaborators, providing direction to internal and external team members
2. Pursue funding opportunities and develop proposals for new evaluation grants and contracts
3. Partner with other senior staff to support existing or ongoing evaluation projects at The Evaluation Center based on technical and subject matter expertise
4. Provide support or direction for initiatives to develop and advance The Evaluation Center (e.g., elearning program, marketing, on-campus collaborations)

We are especially interested in growing the Center’s portfolio of projects in the area of public health program evaluation and capacity for culturally responsive and equity-focused evaluation. Strong candidates will have a track record of securing external funding for evaluation and contributing to evaluation scholarship.
