Job Summary/Description Under general direction, plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the work, daily activities, and operations of the Admissions Office. The Director of Admissions will assist in the development of recruiting and admissions strategic plans. The Director is responsible for the implementation of these plans to meet the new student enrollment goals. The Director will also assist in marketing strategies to meet these goals. Typical Duties/Job Duties Develops, maintains, and assesses short and long term ASU recruitment and admissions management plans that yield desired results. Manages the development of integrated communications strategy that compliments institutional messaging and appropriately targets various audiences with whom ASU departments interact. Leverages technologies such as predictive modeling, customer relationship management software, web-based recruitment tools, and social media to accomplish enrollment objectives. Works with colleagues in Enrollment Management to evaluate, refine, and implement operational processes that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of human and financial resources. Plans and assesses events and projects to attract new students. Provide leadership for Admissions staff including staff development, goal setting, and performance reviews. Assists the Executive Director of Enrollment Management with developing and analyzing data related to territory management, target market development, and other recruiting initiatives. Manages operational budget to ensure the appropriate financial resources are tied to high impact strategies and initiatives. Participating in other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of admissions requirements and procedures for institutions of higher education in Texas. 
Knowledge of Enrollment Management and Customer Relationship Management philosophies and practices. Knowledge of recruitment and marketing best practices. Knowledge of academic programs, academic standards, and co-curricular activities. Knowledge of Banner student information system, business process development, new student recruitment and admissions technology, territorial management, and student centered/customer service oriented philosophies. Knowledge and understanding of the structure and chain of responsibilities within a university. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to network, promote, and form collaborative partnerships. Ability to work well with students, faculty, and administrators. Skilled with oral and written communications, including public speaking and complex functions; Skilled in interpersonal relations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of five years of experience in a college or university. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction among students, faculty, administrators, and staff. Strong organizational skills.
Experience in a college admissions program.   Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree. Experience in branding and marketing. Physical Requirements   EEO Statement
