About the Job

The Strategic Partnership Specialist (SPS) is an integral role to the success of an aggressive growth plan for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) at Colorado Christian University (CCU). The primary goal of this position is to increase enrollment by generating high-quality leads through business development activities. Leads are obtained by strategic partnership efforts including, obtaining new Professional Education Partnership (PEP) and Christian Higher Education Partnership Program (CHEPP) contracts, account management of all current PEP/CHEPP contracts, and all campaigns/visits for strategic partnership contract fulfillment.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  1. A minimum of two years of successful experience in business development, sales, or enrollment. Experience in a Christian college or university is preferred. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  2. Ability to present activities and outcomes through analysis and compilation.
  3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  4. Exceptional knowledge of Excel, other Microsoft Office products, Salesforce, Colleague, and other related software.
  5. Ability to work effectively on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  6. Strong practical knowledge of sales processes and importance of follow-through in order to enhance and support high performance sales expectations.
  7. Ability to drive distances and maintain eligibility for proper auto insurance.

Key Job Duties

  1. Contribute to CCU’s mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. In this role, the Strategic Partnerships Specialist shares with potential partners and students the vision of how a degree or program through CCU will transform their organizations and prospective students as they obtain their education with a Christian worldview that emphasizes how personal values and ethics can impact education, life, and work.
  2. Generate leads through business development/strategic partnership activity for CAGS field enrollment teams.
  3. Document all business development and strategic partnership outcomes in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for reporting and tracking purposes.
  4. Attend scheduled campaigns with active strategic partners (SP)/PEP/CHEPP organizations.
  5. Pursue and execute new SP/PEP/CHEPP accounts based on target criteria established by the Director of Strategic Partnership (DSP).
  6. Achieve goals and metrics for lead generation, conversion rates, and other criteria as determined by the Vice President of CAGS Enrollment.
  7. Remain accountable to individual SPS role performance goals/metrics that will be determined each fiscal year. Determined goals include total number of new accounts on-boarded, average/total leads generated, average/total campaigns attended, and overall conversion rate on the account.
  8. Develop strategies with DSP for the expansion of strategic partnerships between CAGS and outside organizations (i.e. businesses, ministries, churches).
  9. Attend national conferences and events with DSP for lead generation.
  10. Demonstrate ability to work effectively and positively with Enrollment Counselors, Enrollment Directors, and other administrators while establishing and maintaining effective, positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  11. Collaborate with various University departments for projects and/or recruitment training efforts.
  12. Demonstrate strong self-management, strategic thinking, and conceptual skills.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. Requires sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and conducting phone conversations for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Colorado Christian University expects all faculty and staff to become a part of the University community by participating in activities and events that occur on the campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.

High level of in-state, weekly travel (ranging 75%-80% of time) for campaign attendance and business development visits, and to each CAGS location (Sterling, Lakewood, Grand Junction, Denver Tech Center, Colorado Springs and Pueblo) for scheduled events. Travel expectations are dependent on business needs and the training schedule.
