Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison division of continuing studies is seeking an assistant director to join the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team to oversee the digital marketing function to support a wide variety of degree, certificate, and non-credit programs. As part of the Integrated Marketing Communications team leadership, this individual is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the overall digital marketing strategies to acquire new enrollments through the use of digital tactics, including web, email, marketing automation, paid digital marketing channels, SEO and SEM. This individual will supervise a team of web designers/developers, marketing automation specialists and media buyers. High priority initiatives include the promotion of UW-Online, Professional Degrees and Certificates and Summer Term enrollment.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Specialization in web operations, digital marketing, strategic communications, and advertising required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience planning, implementing, and reporting the results for strategic advertising campaigns (both traditional and digital)
- 7 years of experience building and managing teams
- 3+ years of experience with paid digital marketing channels and technologies, including search engine marketing (Google Ads), retargeting, display and social media advertising (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.)
- Experience working with marketing automation tools (Eloqua), CRM (Salesforce) and Web platforms (WordPress)
- Experience with CAN-SPAM and WCAG compliance
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and develop productive working relationship with diverse stakeholders and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving business requirements and objectives in a fast-paced environment
- Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting/reporting results
- Proven experience deep diving into performance data on a daily basis, drawing conclusions and making optimizations based on data, including having strong Excel skills
- A knowledge of UW-Madison and/or higher education preferred

At current state, the Division of Continuing Studies is working 100% remotely. We will operate in a hybrid model beginning in Fall 2021. This position is eligible for any of the following: 100% remote work; partial remote-work; or fully on-site. Remote work requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet to perform the work on an employer provided computer and on occasion to report to campus for meetings, training, or other activities.
