The Education Department at Curry College invites applications for a part-time, associate lecturer to teach and support initial teacher licensure candidates preparing to take the Communication and Literacy Skills Reading and Writing Subtests subtest in our post-baccalaureate and baccalaureate teacher education programs.
Applicants should possess recent teaching experience and content expertise in reading, reading comprehension and writing development and mechanics, as well as a strong understanding and experience with recent test versions of the Communication and Literacy Skills sub-tests.
Fall classes are scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Thursday at 1-2:15pm and 2:30pm-3:45pm beginning on August 31, 2021 through the week of December 16, 2021.
This position requires:
- At least a master's degree in an appropriate education related discipline;
- At-least 1-3 years teaching and experience at the PK-early high school level;
- Experience teaching adult and college age students in-person and remotely is highly desired;
- Experience using learning management systems such as CANVAS is preferred.
