Job Description:

Job Summary:

The undergraduate Education program at Curry College invites application for a part-time associate lecturer to teach in our undergraduate teacher preparation majors in the area of elementary and early childhood (PreK-6) area with a focus in STEM curriculum.

The successful candidate should possess the following: knowledge of and extensive practical experience with the Next Generation Science Standards and state and grade level STEM curricular; knowledge of and extensive practical experience working and teaching children in a variety of educational settings using STEM curricular; knowledge of and extensive practical experience using inquiry-based and project-based pedagogical methods and other appropriate strategies.

The candidate should have the ability to convey and demonstrate pedagogical strategies and methods in STEM Education to pre-service teacher candidates.

The class will be held in-person on Thursdays from 4:30pm-7pm beginning on September 2, 2021 through the week of December 18, 2021.

 

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a master's degree in Education or Science related field is required.
  • Extensive experience working in public schools or other appropriate setting teaching science at the PreK-6 level is required.
  • Experience working with pre-service teacher candidates and or novice educators is preferred.
  • College-level teaching experience or work with traditional age or adult learners both in-person or remotely is desirable.
