Job Description:

A member of the WSRE Development Team, the Manager, Corporate and Grant Support WSRE-TV secures unrestricted and restricted corporate support, grant funding, and trade/in-kind to support the operations and programming of WSRE public media which educates, entertains and engages communities in our viewing area. Initiate, secure and cultivate new and existing partnerships with local, regional and national companies through outside sales calls. Analyze client needs and market trends to deliver customized proposals and sponsorship package. This position will maintain up-to-date account and prospect information. Manage the on-air availabilities and inventory via a proprietary software system and in collaboration with Traffic. Ensure all underwriting messages conform to non-commercial underwriting standards and adherence to FCC and PBS guidelines. Seeks and secures grant funding that aligns with WSRE’s mission and supports its operations, productions and activities. Work cross-departmentally to identify ongoing and potential projects suitable for grant funding, understand and describe projects and budgets and ensure grant deliverables and budgets are achieved. Seek out, coordinate and participate in community outreach events with local and regional organizations to promote WSRE and develop rapport with existing and potential clients. Participate in chamber of commerce events in the region, as well as city, college, and organization events in the public arena. This position reports to the Director of Development and Community Engagement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic discipline (Communication, Business, Marketing) from an accredited institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales, business, communications or marketing. Three (3) years’ experience and demonstrated skills in some or all of the following: media sales (commercial or non-commercial), business-to-business sales, business communications, marketing or grants administration. Demonstrate experience of oral and written communication. Demonstrate interpersonal skills, ability to listen, learn, and tailor approach to suit individual clients. Successful results of a criminal background check.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

SALARY RANGE: $34,320.00 - $44,370.00
