Located in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn in NYC, the School of Public Health trains the next generation of leaders in public health through excellence in research, service, and teaching. Through rigorous and interdisciplinary research on population health and well-being, development of innovative community-engaged models to empower healthy communities, and by advancing the theory and practice of public health in urban and immigrant groups, the School of Public Health creates innovative pathways to improving health and health equity. These pathways are achieved in part through strong strategic partnerships both within the University’s Colleges of Medicine and Nursing and Schools of Health Related Professions and Graduate Studies, and through long-term collaborations with community organizations, national and local policy institutions, and health care organizations.

We are seeking a candidate with passion and expertise in mentoring and teaching, who will work with department faculty in delivering a curriculum that reflect the needs of our changing public health landscape, and who will teach core courses at the MPH and doctoral level. In addition, we seek a candidate with a focused record of extramurally-funded scholarship or demonstrated potential in creating a strong portfolio in extramurally-funded research, with preference for expertise in multilevel intervention development, implementation, and evaluation. The faculty member will complement core strengths in community engaged research, mixed method study design, social epidemiology, immigrant and urban health, health equity and the social determinants of health, cancer screening and treatment, maternal and child health, global health, chronic disease management, digital health/eHealth, public health and social media, and mental health and substance use treatment and prevention.

Applications are preferred by September 1, 2021 and will be reviewed until the position is filled.

Applicants should submit (1) a cover letter containing a teaching, research, and diversity statement, (2) a curriculum vitae, and (3) 3-5 examples of publications that best represent current scholarship and expertise.
