About the Opportunity:
The Speech Motor Impairment and Learning (SMILe) Lab in the Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University is looking to hire a part-time lab manager!

This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position.

Please note: The primary work location for this position is the Boston MA Northeastern University Campus Location. Until our full return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process will be conducted remotely- including virtual interviews, remote onboarding and remote work. The remote nature of this position is subject to change in the future and is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required once the College and this role return to an operational status that supports it.

Responsibilities:
The Speech Motor Impairment and Learning (SMILe) Lab is directed by Dr. Kristen Allison and focuses on improving assessment and treatment of speech disorders in children. The lab manager's duties include: recruitment and scheduling of participants, running data collections sessions, data entry and management, and assisting with processing of speech data. This is an hourly position, and a commitment of at least 1-year is desired. The schedule for this position is flexible, and will be coordinated with Dr. Allison.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders, psychology, or a related field, and some prior experience working in a research lab. Strong computer and organizational skills are essential. In addition, the candidate must be highly attentive to details, have excellent interpersonal skills, be capable of working independently as well as with others in a complex, demanding, and exciting research environment, and must enjoy interacting with children and their parents.
