Job Details

The Institute for Clinical and Translational Research is seeking aProgrammer Analyst who will be responsible for providing technical and project support for the JHM REDCap administrators team, including assistance with data migrations to REDCap, supporting REDCap feature design/development/testing, triaging and resolving issues that arise in development and production instances, and providing front-line support for REDCap users, including Epic/REDCap integration.

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of related work experience with applications support (development, testing, training, supporting).
  • Service-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  • Must be able to work with customers and understand and translate their functional needs into technical requirements and user-friendly documentation.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytic skills are required.
  • Experience with quality assurance testing, data analytics, and providing assistance as needed to support the JHM REDCap research community are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with clinical data, particularly with data collection tools to support clinical research, such as REDCap or other data capture tools.

Technical Qualifications/Specialized Certifications:

  • Basic experience with Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL, basic experience with web programming and scripting languages (HTML, PHP, JavaScript, VBA).

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting in a normal seated position in office setting.
  • Communication skills using the spoken word.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
