Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director of Inclusion & Engagement, the incumbent will be expected to create and manage student-athlete engagement initiatives and coordinate programming with other department staff to develop and increase student-athlete engagement.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience working in student-athlete engagement and/or diversity and inclusion in higher education preferred. In addition, successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills and abilities: strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build relationships with populations from diverse backgrounds, organization and time management skills; and the ability to work independently. Candidates must be willing to work some weekend and evening hours, as needed.

Additional qualifications include: demonstrated knowledge and commitment to adhering to Big Ten and NCAA rules and regulations; ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff and students; ability to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions; ability to work well independently and in teams; and ability to be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included. This position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
