Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for administrating the IT infrastructure (servers, storage, and workstations) of the HERI MRI research environment at the Dept. of Psychiatry. Position will fully support all labs' hardware and software needs, while also managing the technical side of the GE MRI scanner and associated research equipment.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

-Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in information technology or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-At least three years of experience in Linux administration required.
-Experience working in a university, research, or MRI setting greatly preferred.

Additional Information:

Knowledge/Skills Required:
-Linux server administration, primarily CLI-based
-SAN/Storage administration
-Mac, Linux, and Windows workstation administration
-Ability to communicate and troubleshoot complex technical issues with and to non-technical users

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:
-MRI/research software administration (Matlab, AFNI, FreeSurfer, etc.)
-Stimulus presentation software administration (E-Prime, Presentation, PsychoPy, etc.)
-MRI scanner/research hardware administration (BIOPAC, Avotec, GE MRI, etc.)
-macOS Server administration (Open Directory/LDAP)
-Networking concepts and fundamentals
-Virtualization concepts and fundamentals
