Position Summary:

The selected applicant will serve as an Electrophysiologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Applicants must have invasive cardiology skills covering the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic EP including Complex Ablation. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Principal Duties:

Clinical teaching and patient care responsibilities at UW Health approved locations with primary responsibilities staffing the Unity Point Health/Meriter EP lab in addition to regional opportunities. Responsibilities may also include in screening patients for participation in clinical trials research as well as the clinical teaching of fellows, residents and medical students on ward services and clinics.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD or DO; Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine required; Board Eligible or Board Certified in Electrophysiology required.

Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Completion of an accredited fellowship training program in Cardiovascular Medicine. Candidates should be skilled in SVT, AF, and VT ablation, as well as the full range of device implantation and management.

Candidates for associate professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment or promotion on the clinical and CHS track.

License or Certificate:

Eligible for Wisconsin medical license.

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
