The Circulation Assistant, Evening and Weekend, is a part-time staff position, 20 hours a week, reporting to the library director, with immediate supervision from the Reference and Instruction Librarian. Two part-time positions are available under this description.

The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:

  • Provide library staff coverage for late evening and weekend hours in Smith Library
  • Assist library patrons at the Circulation Desk and online with basic reference questions and research support
  • Assist other staff with serials, interlibrary loans, inventory and collection maintenance as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Reference and Instruction Librarian

  • Various library databases and electronic collections

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree required; Library public services experience preferred. Excellent customer service and computer technology skills required.
