Job Summary
This position coordinates and oversees the daily administration/supervision of
equipment, service personnel, and facilities within the Brown-Kopel Student Center.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates and oversees the use of fixed and mobile equipment and facilities in and around various classrooms and conference rooms in Brown-Kopel by performing multiple daily walkthroughs to monitor the equipment and building facilities.
- Assist the Student Achievement Center Manager by serving as a point of contact for faculty, staff, students booking event spaces/classrooms/study rooms, and various contractors providing services to Brown-Kopel.
- Serves as safety coordinator for Brown-Kopel and works closely with Risk Management and Safety and the College of Engineering Safety Manager to ensure building compliance. Acts as a liaison between faculty, staff and students and the above-mentioned safety managers to ensure that a problem is quickly resolved.
- Serve as the liaison and maintains access and key control and reservations to ensure optimum service for staff, faculty, and students by submitting items to Access Control in a timely manner.
- Performs physical inspections of the facilities on a routine basis and submits work orders to have any problems that are identified remedied.
- Assist with event planning, facilitation, day-to-day room set up and audiovisual needs, and clean up. Manages all reservations and provides quality customer service to visitors and callers.
- Serves as the point of contact for student and campus organizations wanting to reserve space in Brown-Kopel. This person will also handle room diagraming, placing work orders, coordinating A/V set up and will serve as a point person for vendors for events. May require weekend/evening hours. Initiates, updates, and maintains records, listings, and other documentation of work activities, schedules, supplies, and equipment.
- Generates, retrieves, and reports records related to Student Achievement Center Mgr, Associate Dean, outside reporting agencies in addition to planning, recommending, and submitting short and long-term departmental/facilities goals.
- Works closely with facilities and the cleaning team to ensure that the building is clean and ready for upcoming events and day-to-day operations.
