Arkansas State University Campus Queretaro is a young, diverse, and innovative university going into its fifth year. The Department of General Education is looking for qualified composition instructors to fill multiple vacancies. These positions require in-person instruction starting no later than August 20th in Queretaro, Mexico. This position is a 12-month appointment, and instructors are responsible for teaching 15 credit hours per fall and spring semester and 6 credit hours during one summer term. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching a course load that may consist of Composition I, Composition II, World Literature before 1660, and World Literature after 1660. Additionally, all English faculty are required to engage in advising, assessment efforts, and faculty workshops.

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will submit a CV, a sample assignment (this can be a minor or major assignment), and a Cover Letter explaining how the sample assignment exemplifies the candidate's teaching philosophies.

  • Teach composition and general education literature courses

  • Academic Advising

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MA or PhD in English (or closely related field with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate coursework in English) required
  • experience teaching English composition and/or literature at the college level required
