The Department of Occupational Therapy is looking to hire 1-2 teaching Adjuncts for OCCT 590 Functional Movement Analysis during the Fall 2021 semester. OCCT 590 is a 3-credit (2 lecture hour; 2 lab hours) foundation course in kinesiology and functional anatomy addressing the basic components of palpation, joint structure, and the study of kinematics, specific muscle groups and muscle function. Functional activities necessary to carry out the tasks and roles of productive living are analyzed and emphasized using these principles. This is a fully in-person course taught in our College of Health Professions building.

Responsibilities include coordination of and presentation of course lecture and lab content, use of Canvas as the course learning management system, and grading of all content. Required Qualifications
o Master degree
o Practice and teaching experience in occupational therapy, including physical rehabilitation, range of motion, and strength testing.
o Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
o Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU Preferred Qualifications
