Visiting Professor in Marketing and Supply Chain Management Area

The Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications and nominations for a Visiting Professor to begin in August 2021. For this one-year, non‐tenure track position, an experienced teaching professional in digital marketing, consumer behavior, sales management and other marketing courses as per the area needs is desired. The ideal candidate may have a Ph.D. in marketing or an MBA or MS degree in Marketing or closely related field with meaningful industry work experience in digital marketing and sales management, university level teaching expertise in marketing and sales courses, exceptional communication skills, a strong commitment to teaching excellence, and a student-centered service orientation. Candidates will be expected to teach in the undergraduate, graduate programs like the fully-online MS in Marketing Research and Analytics Program, as required by the Marketing and Supply Chain Management Area. Candidates are expected to have expertise in teaching digital marketing, marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and marketing and sales related courses at the master’s and undergraduate level. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student populations and experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. The position has a 3‐3 teaching load and competitive salary. This new position will assist current faculty as needed with all marketing courses and programs. Effective date of employment will be the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester.

The Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management offers a Bachelor of Business

Administration in both Marketing and Supply Chain Management. In addition, students can enhance their abilities by completing a concentration in sales or supply chain management. The area also offers an online MS in Marketing Research & Analytics degree. The area currently has

21 faculty members and 11 doctoral students. Our award-winning faculty members publish research in top journals in the field and are subject-matter experts in consumer behavior, marketing theory, marketing strategy, sales management, and supply chain management. The area takes pride in excellence in teaching and has been awarded the Texas Tech University Departmental Excellence in Teaching Award. In the fall of 2018, the area has launched a new Sales & CRM Excellence Center.

 

The Rawls College of Business is AACSB accredited. It offers a BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information systems, marketing, management, and

In addition, it offers a Ph.D. with concentrations in accounting, finance, information systems & quantitative science, management, and marketing.
