Lone Star College–Montgomery, the premiere student-centered

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Coordinator III, Marketing supervis es marketing staff, in
addition to overseeing the college's website, social media
presence, and ma rketing ca mpaigns are visually compelling,
engaging, and effective with target audiences. Acts as primary
liaison between customer, designers and developers. Defines
approaches and models to collect and document customer requirements
. Provide training and support to end-users. Advise s and lead s
customer to solutions while meeting system and process
requirements. Works with project teams to facilitate design of
components of Content Management System.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Supervise Marketing staff and daily operations for the Digital
Marketing Intelligence Center
Develops and implements integrated marketing strategy
Researches and applies new trends to enhance the user
experience and increase engagement on all communication
Serve as project coordinator for major marketing events and
Acts as author and trainer for the Content Management System,
SharePoint, and digital marketing and data analytics tools
Analyze data to make informed marketing decisions, and create
dashboards that highlight key data, trends, and opportunities
Acts as liaison between content owners, customers, end users,
designers and developers to ensure all protocols followed and
customer's needs are met
Consult with customers to identify Web needs and advises on
Serves as project manager for campus-based Web initiatives,
ensuring proper use of resources
Creates and designs interfaces that ensure optimal usability
for multiple audiences and are compliant to 508 and other
regulations, and audience specific.
Creates templates, navigation structures and other graphic
Coordinates messaging and visual display of all electronic
advertising via the on-campus plasma screen messaging system
Prepares illustrations for use in documents and the Web by
using various graphic design hardware and software
Arranges publications and page layouts according to aesthetic
and branding standards, applies knowledge of layout and computer
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in and knowledge of Web and marketing analytics
tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics and
- Experience with website usability, responsive (mobile), email
engagement, and social media strategy
- Possess graphic design skill set
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a
student-centered, team-oriented environment
- Strong writing, editing, project management, and communication
- Must be able to work, perform with deadlines
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
PHYSICAL ABILITIES :
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to
do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;
carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or
driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to
perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS :
- PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows
environment, calculator, phone and other general office
- Internal and external contacts as needed to carry ou t the
functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with min imal
exposure to safety hazards
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of related work
experience, or an equivalent combination of education and
- Experience in content management systems (i.e., Estrada,
Vignette) as well as experience in portal design and
- Marketing/journalism experience
- Experience with digital photography, Photoshop and Adobe
- Ability to work on a database-driven enterprise-level Web site
developed in environments such as ColdFusion, ASP or ASP.NET
- Experience in public relations and marketing communications
Hiring salary range is $46,300 to $53,245 annually.
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted
full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall
in that range is determined by your related experience and
education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star
