Job Description:

Supervision Received: Reports to the Director of Financial Aid

Supervision Exercised: Supervises financial aid staff and work study students

Essential Functions:

Implements all federal and state programs, policies, services and regulations for financial aid.

Coordinates scholarships and tuition assistance programs with financial aid awards.

Coordinates financial aid advising for students and disseminates Office of Financial Aid policy and procedures to the college community.

Maintains systematic flow of information through regularly scheduled department and college meetings.

Manages the Office of Financial Aid as needed and directed by the Director of Financial Aid.

Arbitrates student financial aid issues in accordance with College, Commonwealth and federal policy.

Works effectively as a team member with all college departments. Participates in the development of the annual department budget.

Represents RCC in the community.

Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education in the US.

Three years experience in the administration of financial aid at an accredited institution of higher education.

Knowledge of PowerFAIDS, Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn new software requirements.

Commitment to maintaining knowledge of current and pending federal and state regulations. Experience in an urban, multicultural higher education environment.

Evenings and weekend availability.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time Non-Unit Professional (NUP) position, with full benefits.

All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
