The faculty member will be expected to teach Histories of Dance, upper-level writing and research courses, and Dancing Body in a Moving World (a Cultural Inquiry CORE course). Additional instruction may include Embodied Knowledge/movement courses, upper-level critical inquiry, dance pedagogy, and/or production courses. Preference will be given to candidates with an active embodied knowledge/embodied research practice within African diasporic, Asian, Indigenous, and/or Latin American dance studies. Additional duties include programmatic service such as level placement, auditions, recruitment, and participation in Department and University activities.

Salary is competitive. Initial review of applications will begin July 22, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled, subject to ongoing budgetary approval.
